Julie and Jamie’s Purple Wedding in Blandford

Julie and Jamie got married at the Crown Hotel in Blandford on a really sunny July day. They asked me to create a few key pieces to complement their purple colour scheme, and I suggested a palette of purple, lilac and white to give depth and interest.

The hand-tied bouquets for Julie and her two bridesmaids were a mix of roses, carnations, freesias and lisianthus, with a scattering of foliage to soften the finished look. I love how they look all packaged up in water ready for delivery.

The buttonholes were made of roses, spray roses and lisianthus…

At the hotel, the ceremony was simply dressed with a trailing long-and-low arrangement on the registrar’s table, perfect to complement the rich purple chair sashes. Never underestimate the power of nice chair coverings- they can transform a room…

Beautifully presented bouquets are a lovely way to say thanks to mums and helpers during the speeches. I was asked to make these ones really summery and cheerful, so I happily obliged. You don’t get much brighter really!

Hope you had a great day Julie and Jamie! Thanks for asking me to provide your yummy flowers 🙂
